Urgent Help Needed - Please Read
Posted 3 months agoI've been out of work since December 23rd with a rib injury.
I was called in after hours today to be told I was let go from my job. My boss did a complete 180 on me and despite taking my concerns about the dentist I was partnered with, giving my 1000% effort every day I could, took me being out hurt as a chance to see how things ran without me and decided I was the problem. I was baited into coming in this morning for what I thought was to help her with insurance claims, only to discover she did this so she could tell me to my face I was being fired. All of my things were placed in a bag for me to take home.
I'm working on applying for a new job but with ANE in less than two weeks (I'm staffing and tabling) not many dental offices will hire someone to work for a week, disappear for a week, then come back.
I need any and all help I can get to stay afloat until I can get something solid again and start earning. I'm open for a variety of coms, SFW and NSFW.
I also have a stocked Ko-Fi storefront with a variety of coms, adoptables, and small items.

Broke My Rib, Help Plz?
Posted 3 months agoSo about a week ago, right before Christmas, I managed to crack a rib on my lower left side. I tried babying it for the past week with homecare but yesterday the pain was excruciating.
One 4 hour trip to urgent care later and the doc said it's a "suspected fracture", but didn't bother with an X-ray. My boss at the dental office insisted I take this whole week off to recover (today, Monday, was the only day I was clinical; I would have been admin the rest of the week)
Which is all well and good but because I'm so new there still I'm not getting holiday pay for our Christmas break (I was off all week last week) and I don't have enough sick time to cover this week. Rent is due and I won't have enough funds to cover my share along with my husband.
I need help.

I found FA in 2012 while I was overseas in China, and the forums. It helped me find friends when I was feeling so isolated.
I moved my furry art there from deviantART and quickly got more attention on FA than I ever expected.
I got to attend FAU back in 2014 and that's where Blade and I really started to fall for one another.
We chatted quite a bit on Twit and FA and he was always pretty chill. I know he was dealing with a lot between the site and personal things and came under fire for a bunch, but I seriously owe him so much. I really don't think I'd be where I am today without FA

Cost: $17 to Bowl for 2 hours with shoe rental, $7 to just hang out
Details: It's back! Come Bowl with your favorite furry pals and enjoy cosmic bowling lanes with lights and music!
Check in with either @/ValleyShepherd, @/NishaBlueFloof, @/Walolas when you arrive and before suiting up or getting your bowling shoes at the counter. Check in starts at 5:30pm and the lanes will get turned on at 6:00, for two hours of bowling. No feet paws on the bowling lanes, please

Life Update!
Posted 10 months agoWas a busy weekend for me!
Friday I graduated with high honors and as a member of Phi Theta Kappa and earned my degree in dental assisting, This has been a wild ride over the past two years, especially with how my jobs were treating me, juggling no job for several months this year, and of course Blade's medical emergency last January. To have all of that thrown at my face and still come out on top is quite an achievement.
Saturday though, I finally lived out my dream and got to marry my best friend . A lifelong dream, I never imagined someone like me would ever get to be married, especially when you factor in I almost lost him last January. It felt like marriage - and happiness, for that matter - was something I wasn't allowed to have. But we had a small, intimate ceremony surrounded by our closest family and friends, and it's all we could have asked for. I had PCD on the drive home yesterday, it couldn't have been more perfect. (And yeah...we brought our fursuits. Our families begged us to lol).
That all followed hot on the heels after running around Furcationland in April. It was another successful year, with an almost 50% increase in attendance from last year and $10k raised for charity. I worked my curly tail off all weekend to the point I ended up injuring myself (oops)
Taking a short break but it's right back into it! I'd like to get back into more art but honestly, I've hesitated reopening for coms, the few times I've put myself out there I get no takers, or the people that do reach out ghost me after I show examples and the price list. It's disheartening so for now I'm closing indefinitely, only working on personal art or gifts as I see fit.
Plus with Anthrocon coming up hubby and I are focusing on how much stock we need to make and take with us. We've never sold at a con this big (I think the biggest we've ever sold at before this was ANE 2020) so we want to make sure we're at least somewhat prepared for it. First steps has been paring down our otherwise lengthy scent roster, and cutting a couple of products (no more 8 oz. spray bottles, for example). July will be here before we know it so I've got to juggle that on top of applying for both my CDA license and getting all the joyous legal stuff out of the way following a marriage.

Posted 4 years agoWhoops, been a long while. Where to start?
Like most of you, last year kinda turned everything in my life on its head. I left the job at the math center and started working at an urgent care center in the area, and go figure - I'm feeling much better working there with the staff I have than I ever had teaching. So much so that I'm in the process of changing careers and going back to school to study radiologic technology. I've pretty much decided I'll never teach again, and the experience I did have the area schools weren't taking as actual experience. I have to take an exam called the TEAS first, but hopefully I'll start the program this summer. It's a 16 month program so my posting on here might drop.
What else....oh! I don't know if I ever mentioned it but moved in with me almost 2 years ago and it's been bliss. There's no greater feeling than waking up next to your best friend and life partner. Every night in our house is like a sleepover. Then last year two of our really good friends moved in downstairs. We have a full on furry house now lol
Since cons kinda squished our income from Fuzzy Feelings, we took a leap and started selling our wares at a local co-op early this year. We were only a couple dollars shy of breaking even for our first month down there, but we have high hopes and good feelings about it. We're still very actively getting orders on our Etsy which has definitely helped a lot.
On the art front, I'm saving up for either a Wacom One or Cintiq, though I've looked at other screen display tablets. I liked my Bamboo but I definitely draw better on a screen. I'm looking to start doing collabs or something with people soon too, I've only ever done a couple and I miss doing that.

We have two very active stores on both Etsy and The Dealer's Den, plus a full-fledged website, but wondered how we could work Patreon into the mix.
Possibly something like a Scent of the Month thing? And certain tiers got products featuring that scent, up to a themed collection of a candle, soap, bath bomb and spray?
I've never dabbled in Patreon so I'm really unfamiliar with how the tiers work, the system work, and so forth, but the idea of maybe a subscription service thing to get our stuff to you guys in the absence of cons has been working its way around.
